Ironically, my husband is also named Barry, and you and I share the same sentiment about parties, and so do our Barry's. I threw him a secret agent surprise party on his half birthday one year (his b-day is too close to Christmas). I think it took him a full 5 mins., to understand what was going on! Not sure he could handle the trophy husband theme, but it would be so funny! This is hilarious! My husband doesn't understand why I do what I do. He's got a December birthday so his family never did anything for him. I've always felt like he deserves something! Our first year in Dallas we went to a Mav's game, last year I had an entire evening event planned with a tree lighting and it all fell through when bad weather rolled in. But I do it all because I love him. Thank you for vocalizing that too! I was feeling like I was alone in this aspect of marriage! Our kids will recieve the same treatment too! Because I love them!
