Since school is starting and there’s nothing we can do about it, we might as well share some fun back to school ideas, a teacher gift, and more for going back to school, right?
Inspired by a post on Giver’s Log, we made these darling pencil sharpeners. These would be a fun party idea or teacher gift. We used wooden pencil sharpeners, double sided tape, scrapbooking paper, and a rough nail file to sand the edges of the paper down. Oh, and a cute little button embellishment. I bought the wooden pencil sharpeners at my local art store called Utrecht.

very cute!!
So cute! Looks like a perfect teachers gift! And too cute. Where did you get the lovely wooden pencil sharpeners?
That is such a clever idea. Imagine instead of yelling out my pencil’s broke, with this little cutie in their pencil bag they can use their DIY skills to sharpen it themselves. Great idea. Thanks for posting something so useful before school starts.
What an adorable, and practical project! Feel free to link it up to my Back-to-School linky if you’d like. I know my readers would dig it! Where did you find your pencil sharpeners? It’s so hard to find anything nowadays that isn’t made of plastic.

The wooden pencil sharpeners are from a local art supply store called Utrecht but they’re also online. They’re so cute, huh?
What a sweet idea!

Brittany! These turned out so completely adorable.
And I am a fan of Utrecht online. I just realized we have one in Sacramento. I might have to stop by today.
