Feeling the urge to make your own trick or treat bags? Here are three cute Halloween bags we tried out this year.

The Basic Bag.

This is a basic bag made without a pattern and with a faux flower pinned on. But here are some similar patterns: Dacia Ray & Joann’s. And here are the fabrics used: The Ghastlies in Smoke and Witchy Webs in Natural, both by Alexander Henry.

Scrappy Owl.

Check out the directions at The Long Thread or on Flickr.

Tank Tote.

1. Turn a tank top inside out.
2. With a sewing machine, sew a straight line all the way across the bottom of the tank to form a bag.
3. Turn the tank/bag right side out and hot glue a flower and spider in the corner.
(Tip: When hot gluing the flower onto the bag, put a piece of cardboard in between the layers to keep from gluing the bag together.)
