Day #1: invitations. Making gingerbread houses can be a new tradition at your house starting this year. Throw a little decorating party with our easy invites and ideas.
Invitation How-To: Download both sides of this invitation. Using cardstock, print one side of the invite then turn the paper over, put it back into the printer and print the other side. Using the front of the invitation as your guide, cut invitations out along the roof line. You can mail these cute houses as they are in a 5″ x 7″ envelope. Or if you are hand delivering, you can embellish and decorate them with real candy. We used: a round peppermint candy on the roof, mini red M&M’s on the windows and door handle, blue snowflake sprinkles for flowers (from Walmart) on the railing, two mini candy canes for the door (one full candy cane glued to a broken piece with the seam covered by a mini M&M), and some mini white marshmallows in the bottom of the bag for snow. These envelopes can be bought at clearenvelope.com.

we hot glued last year too….saved me!
I love this. I am really from Snowflake, AZ. I love just love that you put it on the invite.
I too am really from Snowflake. So fun to read your invite and see Snowflake AZ on there. Cute ideas!!
Just had to laugh at your sample invite. You did your research, Snowflake AZ is a REAL place. I lived there for several months as a child. And while it is in Northern AZ where is actually does snow (there is a ski resort less an an hour away) it was actually named after Mr. Snow and Mr. Flake! (When I lived there in the mid-eighties descendants of the Snow family stilled lived in town.) Anyway, what a charming blog! Thanks for all of the fun ideas
Goodness it looks so professional!
Este convite é super criativo! Gostaria de saber o que é, e como se comemora esta festa gingerbread. Pelo menos aqui na minha cidade(Maceió-AL) nunca ouvi.obrigada!
