One of my favorite things to do is wrap a present. And at this time of year I especially love to wrap Christmas presents. So we thought we’d give you some last minute gift wrapping ideas.
The Two-Toned Gift. I think everyone has this problem at some time or other. You are wrapping a present and you run out of wrapping paper. This happens a lot when I wrap big boxes. Here is a great trick for covering large boxes or using up leftover scraps. Try the two-toned gift. Wrap half of your present with one kind of paper and the the other half with another kind. Then cover the seam with a pretty ribbon. Viola! This is also great for when you have reversible wrapping paper and can’t decide which side you like better. Happy wrapping.

What a good idea!
What a fab idea! No more wasted paper at my house…thanks for sharing.
I always have this problem!! (often times b/c I’m in a rush and cut the paper too small!)
Wish I had seen this last night when I was wrapping! What a great idea! Again, definitely using this one. I absolutely love all of your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing your genius creativity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fabulous idea. I was just having a meltdown yesterday with all my mismatched “too small” pieces of wrapping paper. Now I can use them, and my gifts will look even better. Love it!
Makes a gift look very interesting!
Wow….thanks for sharing!
Love this idea. Any chance you will Quickly post how to tie that bow? It’s just simple perfection. Thanks. (if you can’t post, please email me)
That is gorgeous! I love those colors together!
this is a lifesaver of a tip!
Hi Annabelle–That bow isn’t actually tied. It’s just ribbon double looped on each side with a small piece of ribbon taped over the center. Easy peasy.
uuu like it a lot!!!
beautiful!
I did a similar thing when I couldn’t part with my scrappy bits of paper:
