For the party finale, we’ve definitely saved the best for last: a human bubble. Amaze your party guests as they stand inside an actual bubble that’s bigger than they are. You’ll need: bubble solution, a small plastic pool, and a hula hoop.  For maximum strength, make the bubble solution the night before and let it sit. When you’re ready for the fun to begin, have a child stand in the center of the pool. With the hula hoop already in the bubble solution, quickly lift the hula hoop up. It’s easier with two people doing this, one on each side. And feel free to experiment–the hula hoop makes gigantic bubbles. If you’d like to send your guests home with a favor or a prize, fill a bucket with bubbles, bubble gum, and bubble bath. Enjoy your bubble party!

  1. I really enjoy your party ideas. I have been known to order the Monkey oreos from a Martha Stewart Kids Party and always theme out any party I throw.

  4. Thank you so much for this string of posts. I am planning my son’s first birthday at the local park, and was thinking I was going to do big bubbles as an activity for the older kids. You have just made my life so easy. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  5. We recently put up a “bubble station” for a recent party. It’s not a mind-shattering idea, but sometimes the simplest ideas are the best! We took a plastic planter (with holes in thebottom) and screwed it into a post in our back yard. Then, we filled a plastic cottage cheese container full of bubble soap. Then kids could come & go and blow bubbles from the “station.” That meant bubble soap wasn’t spilling out everywhere from those darned little soap containers! We just take the cottage cheese container out when we’re not using it.

  7. So, so marvelous! My kids have done something similar at a local kids’ tech museum, but I’m thrilled at the notion that it can be done at home. I think we’re going to have to have a couple of human bubble stations at our annual 4th of July party!

  8. This is so fun, two things I know from teaching kindergarten-dandelions are the most beautiful flower and kids can never tire of bubbles. A great idea to go with your bubble party is to use one of those drink dispensers with the push button spout and fill it with bubble solution so that kids can refill their bubble containers…I saw this on Come Together Kids Blog via pinterest…genius. She also has a fun bubble snake how to. Awesome party ideas, thank you!
