Need some cute New Year’s Eve games? For kids, it seems like an eternity before the clock strikes 12. Help pass the time leading up the countdown with a game of tic tac toe. They’re guaranteed to have a ball when you use gum balls instead of the usual Xs and Os. The best part? When they’re done, they can eat their game pieces!

You will need: felt (one letter sized sheet is perfect), a ruler, ribbon, double stick tape or hot glue, gum balls, pinking shears
Directions: Using a ruler, mark the felt to a 7” square. Cut your board with pinking shears inside the line. Cut out four 6 1/2” pieces of ribbon. Either hot glue or attach to the board with strong double stick tape. Add two colors of gum balls and play. My boys could play tic tac toe for hours–perfect for New Year’s Eve.
