Counting down the New Year has never been so exciting! These fun diy New Year’s poppers can be made a head of time or you can have the kids put them together on New Year’s Eve.

You will need: tissue paper, heavy cardstock, push up pops, label printable (see download button below)
1 – Cut a piece of cardstock 5-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches. Roll it into a cylinder and put it into the push up pop.
2 – Cut the rest of the cardstock into 12 inches by 1/2 inch. Fold into accordion strips. Put 3-5 of them into the push up pop.
3 – Cut the tissue paper into small confetti pieces. Stuff the confetti into the push up pop on top of the accordion paper.
4 – Top the push up pop with a square piece of tissue paper. Tape the edges of the tissue paper down and around the push up pop.
5 – Print and cut out the label. Glue it on to the push up pop.

It’ll be hard to wait until 2013 to pop these little poppers! Pass out these DIY New Year’s Poppers to kids and adults a like for a confetti filled pop into the new year!
