Starting a little garden is a great activity for your little Easter guests! And, what better place to plant an Easter Garden than in an adorable retro egg carton? An egg carton garden makes a fun activity and cute favor for guests to take home.
Print and cut out the plant markers. Fold each marker in half. Glue the marker over a wooden ice cream spoon and let your guests fill in the name of the herbs you are planting.
Instruct your guests to fill each pocket of their egg carton 3/4 of the way with soil. In each pocket, make a small hole half way down. Plant a seed in each hole and cover back up with soil.
Be sure to let them know that once they get home, they should cut off the top of the egg carton and place at the bottom as a tray. Also, the egg carton garden is to make plant starters, and that the plants will have to be transferred to a pot once they have grown bigger.
Once the gardens have been planted at the party, tie up the egg cartons with some ribbon to send your guests home with!
