I love quick and easy projects that use minimal materials, especially when it comes to the holidays. All those decorations can get pretty expensive, and they’re only temporary solutions anyway. So here’s a fun and simple way to dress up plain Halloween party favor bags at this year’s party. Oh, and one more thing, you can put the standard ghosts and goblins away because this budget-friendly option is anything but ordinary.

Supplies: Scotch® Color & Pattern Duct Tape, fringe scissors, regular scissors, small kraft bags (2.5 x 4 inches)

Directions: Cut two pieces of tape 2.5 inches long, the width of your favor bags. Set the first piece of tape aside and fold the other piece in half, longways. Then flip the second piece of tape over, so the sticky part is facing up. Attach the other piece of tape that was folded in half, leaving about 1/4 inch of space at the top. Fold the dangly part of the tape (at the bottom only) over the folded piece and press down. Now you have a small area at the top where the sticky part of the tape is still exposed. That is what you want. Next, using fringe scissors or regular scissors, begin cutting fringe pieces from the bottom up (do not cut the top area, where the sticky side of the tape is). Attach the first layer to your bag, starting at the bottom. Repeat until your entire bag is covered with fringe. Fill with candy and enjoy.
