And the Summer Fiesta party hop continues! Today I’m hosting a tutorial here for diy balloon tassels, fringe, flags, whatever you like to call them. But be sure to hop on over to the other blogs and see their fun tutorials as well (hello succulent centerpieces!!).

Have you seen all of the cute tassels on party balloons lately? I love it. It makes balloons more festive and adds a pop of color to any party. Plus kids like the extra detail, even if they don’t appreciate all of your effort. This is a slight variation on the usual fringe and it’s really easy.

Balloon Fringe

To make these adorable DIY Balloon Flags you will need: tissue paper, cotton twine, balloons, glue

Directions: First, cut a rectangle of tissue paper, about 4 inches by 7 inches. Fold the tissue paper in half and fringe the edges. Unfold the tissue paper and put glue down the fold line. Fold the tissue paper over the twine. Scrunch the tissue paper together. Let the glue dry. Glue more tissue flags onto the twine until you have as much as you need. It’s that quick!
