All the hard work of making metal chimes will be worth it for this moment — when your little singing elves are wide eyed as they play the chimes and sing loudly for all to hear!
We have converted several popular Christmas carols for chimes. Download our free printable pipe chime Christmas music formatted for standard paper or to be printed as a large-format poster.
Caroling at a Caroling Party will be exponentially more fun with a DIY pipe chimes set. Kids will be captivated as they hear their favorite Christmas carols played with these metal chimes.
TO MAKE: A full set consists of 21 finished chimes and requires two, 10-foot lengths of half-inch electric conduit pipe. Mark and cut pipe according to the template. The pipe can be cut with either a tubing cutter or miter saw fitted with a blade for cutting metal. Smooth rough edges with a file and drill holes 1.5-inches from the top of the pipe for threading a suspension string. Print, cut and apply our free chime labels. For more complete instructions download the DIY Pipe Chime Template. If you’re not up for a big project, purchase a set of pipe chimes here.
