It’s finally time for the party games. Seriously, this is the best part of the Doctor Party. If you have enough supplies and patients, you can keep a group of kids entertained for a long time – which is really a great way to spend a party.

You have handed out doctor badges and invitations. Made the red cross banner. Next up are the supplies needed to host your own doctor’s office.

Some of the supplies we used are:
An assortment of band-aids
Alcohol wipes
Gauze wrap
Lip Balm
Cotton balls
Cotton swabs
Mike + Ikes in a bottle to use as pretend “medicine”
Blunt end tweezers
Child scissors (to cut the gauze)
Tongue depressors

Gather up stuffed animals and dolls to use as patients. You can arrange the patients on the couch as a “waiting room.” Have your mini doctors choose a patient to take to the table. Each patient should have a patient chart with them for the mini doctor to use. The patient chart is for the doctor to chart what is wrong with their patient. The party guests will have a fabulous time rushing around dressing up their patients and marking charts.

Who knew that a potato stamp and a Doctor Party could go together so well? Well, it does! You can make your own red cross party banner with a potato. All you need to do is make a potato stamp cross.

You will need: potato, knife, red paint, precut white paper pennants (about 3″ wide x 4-1/4″ tall), washi tape, string

Directions: First, (this part is for adults only!) cut the potato in half. Draw a cross on one half of the potato with a permanent marker. If you are having a hard time drawing on the potato, try to dry off the potato with a towel. Next, with a knife, carefully carve out the outside of the potato, so that you only have the cross popping up. Small and gentle cuts work the best. As soon as the potato is carved, spread some paint on a disposable plate. You can use the paint two different ways – spread out the paint so you only have a thin layer on the plate to use as a stamp pad. Or, use a sponge brush and brush paint onto your potato stamp before stamping.

This is the best part for kids Рstamp your red cross potato stamp onto one of your precut white paper pennants. Let the kids stamp all the pennants to create some unique and special Doctor Party decorations. Once the paint is dry, tape the top of the pennants to string to finish your banner.

Welcome to our Doctor Party! We always love a party with a dress up or pretend theme. It makes the party that much more magical. And a doctor party is no different. Over the next few days we will pull out all the stops to create a little doctor’s office that you can recreate for your own party.

First off, invitations are a must. Since it’s a doctor party, keep things white and sterile. But, for an element of fun, add some doctor badges for the mini medics who are invited to the party.

Directions: Print and cut out the doctor party invitations and doctor badges. Fold the doctor badges along the dotted line, with the printed side facing out. Place glue on the inside of the badge and glue the badge together. Let the glue dry. Punch a hole at the top of the badge. String some black ribbon through the hole to make into a hanging badge your party guests can wear around their necks. You can either add the doctor’s names and specialty or let the kids choose their own.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for a fun and easy doctor party decorating idea you can do with your kids!
