A bunch of popcorn and a great movie (we recommend an old classic like Alfred Hitchock’s North By Northwest) is all you really need to host a fun movie night. Of course we’re all about the decorative details, and so we couldn’t resist making an adorable single-serve printable popcorn box for your guests.

To make popcorn boxes download and print our free popcorn box template. NOTE: you will need TWO copies of the template per box. Using a craft knife, cut out the box artwork. Score and crease along all the edges. Apply double-sided tape to the tab labeled “Part A” on both of your cut outs. Attach the two together so that Part B on the first cut out is overlapping the Part A tab on your second cutout. Fold the templates around so the box will begin to take shape. Secure the remaining Part A to the underside at Part B. Now with the box upside down, fold the bottom white tabs inward and secure with double-sided tape.

When it comes to popcorn, it’s pretty hard to beat the classic combo of butter and salt, but on Movie Night why not offer your guests a variety of popcorn choices by serving up a Popcorn Bar. Fill 3-4 glass jars with your favorite kinds of popcorn and label each with our Free Printable Popcorn Tags. (Check out our Garlic Herb popcorn recipe below.)

We used fresh rosemary that we snipped off a bush in our backyard. There is a secret to quickly removing rosemary leaves from their stem. After washing and drying, pinch the stem between your fingers and run down the wooden stem, going against the direction of growth — the rosemary leaves should pop right off.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-low heat in saucepan. Add 3 cloves pressed garlic and a teaspoon of rosemary leaves then sauté for about a minute. Pop 1/3 cup of popcorn kernels using your preferred method. Add salt and pepper to olive oil mixture then pour over popcorn. Gently toss until evenly coated. Serve warm.

It’s time for the Oscars (this year they are on Sunday, February 24th) — great movies, grand speeches, flowing gowns, and black and white tuxes. Every year the night of the Oscars is a great time to invite over guests for a extravagant event of your own.

Here’s a wonderful little Oscars Party program for you to print off for each of your guests. The ballot contains all of the categories and nominees for the 2013 Oscars. This fun little handout can also double as a party game. We’ve included a printout ballot with each of the award categories. Before the ceremonies, let your guests browses the nominees and pick who they think should win in each category. At the end of the night, the guests with the most correct answers wins!

Help your program and ballots dress up for the party with a little black bow of their own.

To make the program bow, you will need:
1-1/4 inch wide black ribbon
glue gun

Cut 3 pieces of ribbon into the following lengths – 7-1/4 inches, 4 inches, and 9 inches.
Take the 7-1/4 inch ribbon. Create the loops in the bow by taking each end and gluing it to the center of the ribbon. Next, take the 4 inch ribbon and wrap it around the “bow” to create the center. Glue it down in the back. Then take the 9 inch length of ribbon and wrap it around 1 program and 1 ballot. Glue the ribbon in place, but be sure to not glue it onto the paper itself. Finally, glue your black bow on top of the ribbon on the ballot.
