It’s your lucky day. We can picture these little goodie bags tucked into your child’s lunch, given to your husband to take to work, or set out on everyone’s dinner plate on St. Patrick’s Day. Just fill a cellophane bag with whatever you’d like (we used chocolate coins) and attach this printable using double sided tape. Click on the image below to download; print out on 8 1/2″ x 11″ glossy photo paper or white cardstock.

I make my 4 kids a green smoothie at least 3 times a week. They love green smoothies and would drink them everyday if possible. Okay, the first time they were a bit skeptical. But once they tried it they were hooked. If you think your kids will refuse one of these healthy concoctions, March 17th might be the perfect day to start. After all, food is supposed to be green on St. Patrick’s Day!

Directions: For added texture and visual interest, try using green crepe paper and origami paper together for your Celtic Clover Banner. Take a square piece of crepe paper or green origami paper and fold it into eighths.

Then round off the top to give your clover the lucky four leaves. Finally, cut your favorite designs into your clover. Below are a few ideas of some fun designs. You’ll have the luck of the Irish in no time!

Sweet, individual ice cream cupcakes are the perfect end to a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Make these green cupcakes ahead of time and you’ll enjoy the day even more.

You will need: mint chocolate chip ice cream, Oreos, green cupcake liners, wooden spoons, Gold and Green Dragees, Frosting or Whipped Cream
First, set the ice cream out to slightly melt. Arrange the cupcake liners in a muffin pan–the pan helps the cupcakes hold their shape. Crush the Oreos and place 2 Tablespoons of crushed Oreos into the bottom of each cupcake wrapper.

Scoop 2 Tablespoons of soft ice cream into each cupcake liner. Place the cupcakes in the freezer for at least 15 minutes, giving the ice cream time to re-harden. After the ice cream is firm, put another layer of 2 Tablespoons Oreos and 2 Tablespoons soft ice cream into the cupcakes. Keep cupcakes frozen until right before serving.

When you are ready to serve, pull your cupcakes out of the freezer and top with frosting or whipped cream. Add your gold and green dagrees, and don’t forget to serve with a spoon!

Charm your children this year with a fun craft and game for St. Patrick’s Day! Before St. Patrick’s Day arrives, have your children help you make some Lucky Charms.

Use white Model Magic to make quarter sized medallions. Using a small heart stamp, impress three leaf clovers into the medallions. Make one of the clovers the lucky four leaf clover. Let the medallions dry 24 hours. Be sure to flip them at least once so the medallions dry evenly.

Once dry, paint your medallions with gold metallic paint. Allow the paint to dry.

On St. Patrick’s Day, hide your little lucky charms all over the house for your kids to find throughout the day. Any time someone finds a lucky charm, they get a prize. Have an extra special prize for whoever finds the four leaf clover charm.

Help keep traditions alive with the story of Patrick’s Pot. Click on the image below to print out the soda pop labels and attach them to your drinks.

As the legend goes, there was an innkeeper who was less than generous with his drinks. St. Patrick visited the inn and was displeased at the lack of drink he was served. St. Patrick pulled the innkeeper aside to teach him a lesson in generosity. He informed the innkeeper that there was a devil residing in his cellar, feeding off of the innkeeper’s dishonesty and greed. To banish the devil, the innkeeper must change his ways. Some time later, St. Patrick visited the inn again. He was pleased to see that the innkeeper was filling the drinks to overflowing. The devil in the cellar was banished. The custom of Pota Phadraig or Patrick’s Pot remains to remind everyone to be generous and honest.
