How to wrap a present. I don’t like to put presents in cutsie bags with tissue paper–-I’m a wrapping paper girl all the way. But to keep it from getting boring I like to mix things up every once in a while. Here’s a fun and quick way to dress up a present (I’ll have another present wrapping idea tomorrow too).

Cut out a few circles from colored cardstock in different sizes. Make sure the paper coordinates with your wrapping paper. Glue the circles on top of each other, starting with the smallest on top. Add a button to make a simple flower. Wrap your present with some ribbon and you’re done!

I thought I’d round up a few of the guest posts I did for other blogs last year. I hope you enjoy a little classic OCP. Photos by Nicole Hill Gerulat.

We’ve been busy around here getting ready for Christmas but we wanted to show you one last present wrapping idea (because we definitely have lots of wrapping still to do). After you have wrapped up all of your pretty presents, tie some fabric or tinsel around your gifts for a little variety. For the fabric ribbons, tear 1-2″ strips of fabric. If your pieces aren’t long enough you can always whip stitch or tie them together. This beautiful tinsel is from Anthropologie.

Need to wrap some gifts? Go shopping for a little inspiration.

Cut the ribbon off of those cute clothing store bags and reuse them on your Christmas presents.

Green is the perfect color for this time of year. Don’t throw away your shopping bags–show a little eco-love and use them as wrapping paper.

One of my favorite things to do is wrap a present. And at this time of year I especially love to wrap Christmas presents. So we thought we’d give you some last minute gift wrapping ideas.

The Two-Toned Gift. I think everyone has this problem at some time or other. You are wrapping a present and you run out of wrapping paper. This happens a lot when I wrap big boxes. Here is a great trick for covering large boxes or using up leftover scraps. Try the two-toned gift. Wrap half of your present with one kind of paper and the the other half with another kind. Then cover the seam with a pretty ribbon. Viola! This is also great for when you have reversible wrapping paper and can’t decide which side you like better. Happy wrapping.
