Sara and I are both back home, exhausted but ready to celebrate Thanksgiving after our whirlwind trip to The Martha Stewart Show. We had so much fun meeting with the show’s staff to prepare for the segment, exploring the city with Sara’s awesome sister Linda, and visiting my brother and his family. The day of taping was exciting and my sister Amelia and sister-in-law Rachel were able to attend, along with me and Linda as we watched Sara teach Martha Stewart how to craft the paper bag turkey. It was hilarious and Sara did an amazing job. The show airs tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, on the Hallmark Channel. You can check here for your local listing info to set your dvr to record it. I can’t wait to see the show all put together and I hope you’ll watch it too.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. We’re taking a break but we’ll back on Monday with some brand new Christmas ideas.

I love the Giver’s Log and was so happy when Amber invited me to guest post there last week. I could spend hours just looking at all of her great ideas for gifts. She asked me to be a part of her back to school for college series called First Kitchen Love. I wrote about some of the things I used to eat in college. But I only ate that way so I could buy cute shoes. Priorities.

As part of the Partyschool 101 series, I’m doing a bunch of guest posts this summer with even more party tips and tutorials. Last Thursday I was invited to contribute to The Mother Huddle’s famous Bullet List. Check it out–it’s a list of 15 Classic Party Games that you can use in a pinch at your child’s next party. You know those times when you’ve planned out tons of fun and amazing party activities that you’re sure the kids will love? Then you’re freaking out when they’ve finished all your games in 10 minutes and you still have an hour of party left to fill? Yup, that’s what these simple, classic games are for. And it’s so easy to adapt them to your party theme. “Duck, Duck, Goose” can become “Long Neck, Long Neck, T-Rex.” And “Simon Says” easily changes to “Princess Says.”

Mique, the sweetie over at 30 Days, interviewed me recently and posted it on her blog. We joke that we’re internet BFFs even though we’ve never actually met. You can read what I said here.

I think I forgot to say in my interview that I love shoes and my feet. I always have my photographers take a picture of my feet at a party, hence this picture from the Vintage Glam Barbie party I just featured. {I apologize to all who hate feet for posting it.}
